Above it All at ROOF on theWit

Written By: Lisa @ 6:27 am

ROOF, a downtown Chicago rooftop bar and loungeAt EIM, we’re always working to Stay on Top. On top of the latest trends in our industry, on top of the latest design techniques or the new Google Instant SEO changes. But last week we literally went Above It All by launching a new website for ROOF on theWit, the ultra-hip, ultra-fun downtown Chicago rooftop lounge that features some of the best views, yummiest cocktails, and most diverse crowd of visitors from all over the Chicagoland area.

One of ROOF’s biggest challenges is communicating to its customers that it is open 365 days a year. You may have seen the line wrapped around the block down in the Loop on a summer night when they hold their ROOFLIVE performances, but showcasing ROOF in the colder months was a main goal of the new website (and if you haven’t checked it out, please do. With the fireplace blazing in the Loft, and the snow falling 27 floors above Chicago, it is quite an experience!!) You can now see the seasonal changes right from the ROOF homepage!

ROOF also wanted a means to better engage and interact with its customers through the Stay on Top portion of the site, where you can sign up for Mobile Alerts (how nice would it be to get a text letting you know there is no line outside!?!), watch their YouTube videos, or become a fan of their Facebook page.

A third goal for the ROOF team was to encourage private events bookings like birthday and bachelor parties, wedding receptions, and corporate events. So share the site with your boss and start planting some Holiday Party ideas ;)

Envisionit Media Doubles in Size!

We moved into our River North address two years ago. Since then, our team and our business have expanded to an extent that our one mere floor of offices can no longer contain us. So, we’re doubling our workspace by adding the floor above us! We just started planning the layout, and we’ve set a move-in date for early Q4.

street level office space

this photo shows the new main level office space as it is prepared for construction

The new, street-level space is pretty much everything a thriving interactive agency like envisionit media could want. Exposed brick walls, wooden beam ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, a combined 11,000 square feet of open space—y’know, the whole agency nine yards.

Now, we just have to figure out where to put the foosball table. Priorities.

Kicking it New School aka Life as an EIM “Agent in Training”

Today marks the first month of my internship here at EIM, and to say I’ve learned a lot since I started working here would be an understatement. When EIM declares themselves an “interactive agency”, they aren’t kidding, they really do live and breath interactive, and for some reason (although interactive is at the cutting edge of advertising) I was never taught these techniques in college.

After working here for a month, I’ve already learned various “new” advertising tactics (SEO/SEM, PPC, Social Media, and the list goes on) that leave those “old-school” techniques (my professors spent months talking about) in the dust. Don’t get me wrong traditional forms of advertising can be extremely beneficial to your business, and a great foundation for a campaign, but these days it’s about integrating both modern and traditional forms of advertising to create that perfect cocktail that tastes like nothing other than success!

I’ve quickly learned that this concept of integration is very important here at EIM, and something I am going to personally dub “the special blend.” It’s about analyzing each client, their target, and numerous other factors of their business, to ultimately create and apply the perfect mixture of online and offline marketing to generate them maximum return.

These tactics are something that the average person doesn’t understand, and even as a graduate in Advertising I didn’t understand, but as I continue to work at EIM (even though I’m only at tip of the iceberg), I can continue to delve deeper under the water and eventually apply my knowledge of this process to future prospects.

Come see what different combination of online and offline media we can apply to your business to create a recipe for success!

a new website that’s right on the money

Well, after testing my Investment IQ on the new Performance Trust University website, (and even having been given the answers during the development phase of this project), I can confidently say that I do not have a future in investment banking.

Since Performance Trust University (PTU) provides educational tools to community financial institutions and the executives who lead them, I think most of their website visitors will have a much more fruitful experience. And that’s kind of the idea. With an older, fairly static website, PTU needed a new site that worked harder to engage their prospective students. It needed a burst of interactive energy.

So we developed a new site featuring captivating tools like the “Investment IQ Quiz,” an “Ask the Experts” form, and videos with helpful market tips and answers to real life FAQs. All of these tools work together to give prospects the chance to interact with the PTU brand, find out just how much they know about the market, and discover ways to help their institutions perform better.

The new site also features a content management system allowing Performance Trust to stay up-to-date when the market conditions change. With this engaging experience and fresh, relevant content, PTU is a valuable asset for any banking executive’s education portfolio.

Engage with PTU now at performancetrustuniversity.com
