Candidate Profile:

- 5+ years in an interactive agency environment with SEO/SEM Google Analytics, and Social Media experience.
Position Overview:
- Represents the agency as our primary relationship manager, maintaining daily interaction with the client
- Advises on and implements marketing efforts for the client and is responsible for managing multiple projects effectively and flawlessly from start to finish
- Provides strategic marketing direction to the client
- Makes recommendations to Senior Management for expanding the scope of the client relationship based on opportunities observed
- Becomes knowledgeable and remains current on the client’s business and products and shares this information with agency team members
- Manages Account Staff (Account Managers & Account Coordinators)
- Assists in training and mentoring of junior-level Account Managers and assists and advises them with strategic, relationship, and interactive skills and ideas
- Drafts and presents annual reviews
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Guides and advises team in all aspects of project development including providing strategic direction, recommendations and tactical requirements throughout the course of a project
- Ensures project deliverables meet the client’s expectations within the agreed upon timing and budget
- Articulates and supports Agency’s point of view while balancing client’s strategies and objectives
- Resolves day-to-day client requests regarding ongoing project development, process improvements, budget, and quality control
- Works with internal teams to resolve issues through effective problem solving
- Works with Senior Management to create project work plans and strategic recommendations to market to the client
- Proactively contacts clients to ensure accurate and timely account service
- Contributes to overall business building function to expand the account for the Agency by providing new marketing ideas/recommendations, process improvements and account management ideas to Director of Account Services and Director of Business Development that benefit the client, grow the business and strengthen the relationship
Project Management:
- Facilitates new project kick-offs by briefing internal team on project specifics; Drafts internal strategy brief and provides team with supporting materials (schedule, matrices, research, competitive samples, etc.)
- Updates status reports and distributes to internal team and client; attends status meeting to communicate project needs and help prioritize projects
- Prepares and distributes all materials related to account service including call reports, proposals and daily correspondence
- Creates budget proposals and distributes estimates to client for approval
- Manages project budgets and ensures that any impact on budget is communicated to client and agency management on timely basis
- Develops project schedules and sends to client; sends updates throughout project if timing adjusts
- Facilitates and leads project presentations and client conference calls (in partnership with the creative team)
- Reviews communications developed by direct reports (call reports, job briefs, project schedules, etc) prior to being sent to client; attends and critiques meetings lead by direct reports and provides constructive feedback to further growth
Required Capabilities and Experience:
- 4+ years in an account services role with advertising agency—preferably interactive marketing company
- One or more years as a Account Manager with an interactive, advertising or marketing agency
- Ability to multi-task, working on several projects and with several clients
- Experience in interactive marketing efforts
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint software
Preferred Capabilities and Experience:
- Degree in marketing or communications
- Experience in an entrepreneurial business environment
- Knowledgeable in SEO, SEM, Google Analytics and proven track record of managing Social Media campaigns that include Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube
