Position Purpose

Function as the Project Manager and Business Analyst for interactive projects. Manage project risks, assumptions, requirements, scope, and budget.

Key Functions

• Ensure the appropriate project artifacts are identified and successfully used to complete an interactive project. Create and maintain appropriate project documentation such as project plans, requirements documentation, status reports, etc.
• Work with the client proxy, account manager, development manager and creative director to manage, update and change requirements, scope and resource needs throughout an interactive project lifecycle.
• Act as liaison between external/internal clients and interactive project team.
• Follow and enforce interactive process to successfully complete all projects.
• Ensure the iterations in interactive projects are working in harmony with creative, business requirements, interface design, development and quality assurance/testing teams.
• Oversee budget and timeline details of interactive projects to ensure expectations of budgetary and timeline parameters are managed and project changes are communicated to appropriate individuals.
• Communicate with client at appropriate intervals within a project for status updates, issues and obstacles and the impact of changes or enhancements requested.
• Monitor and evaluate internal processes to ensure they are efficient and cost effective.
• Set expectations and goals, train, coach, motivate, provide performance feedback, and develop staff to maximize individual and team performance for assigned team, with Director oversight.

Functional Competencies

• Strong understanding of programming, analysis, architecture and creative design roles/process as well as familiarity working with software development methodologies desired.
• Expertise in managing projects with technologies such as CD and DVD-ROM, websites (Flash, HTML, JavaScript), database development (Access, Java, .PHP, ASP), learning management systems, online training and streaming video desired.
• Understands client’s needs, including budgeted time allotted, and translates that into an exceptional result.
• Demonstrates sound judgment/reasoning, decision-making, negotiation, organizational and presentation skills.
• Functions effectively in a fast-paced collaborative agency environment; prioritizes and successfully manages multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously.
• Defines and resolves issues in a timely and accurate manner.

Job Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience with interactive project management
• 1-2 years of experience managing a team
• College Degree
